Fitzgerald CPA offers a wide variety of business and accounting services in the California Central and Northern Valley areas, from Sacramento to Turlock, Bay Area to Sierra Foothill counties including Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Sacramento, Calaveras, Tuolumne, Mariposa, Alameda, and San Mateo. Headquartered in Modesto, California, the firm was established in 2012 by Dan E. Fitzgerald, CPA, MBA formerly of Fitzgerald Johnson, LLP and Stokman, Fitzgerald & Johnson, LLP.
Daniel E. Fitzgerald CPA's staff provides services to several hundred clients. Accounting and auditing services are provided for agriculture, small business, medical and other professionals, manufacturing, retail, wholesale, service industry, real estate, entertainment, non-profit and governmental organizations, educational entities, and others.
Daniel E. Fitzgerald CPA is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA).
All accountants of the firm receive a minimum of forty hours of continuing education each year in the areas of taxation, accounting, auditing and litigation services.
Daniel E. Fitzgerald CPA participates in the AICPA’s Quality Review Program. The firm has successfully completed a quality review of its accounting and auditing standards, financial statements and workpapers. The quality review was performed by a CPA firm approved by the AICPA.

Daniel E. Fitzgerald, CPA, MBA
Dan is a Modesto native and has over twenty-five years experience. He graduated from California State University, Stanislaus in 1978 and received his MBA (Taxation) from Golden Gate University. Dan is actively involved as a member of the Executive Board of Directors for the Greater Yosemite Council Boy Scouts of America, is a past President of the Kiwanis Club of Modesto, and is past treasurer of Community Hospice. In addition to offering complete tax and estate planning services, Dan is the firm’s partner in charge of audits.
Sandra L. Reiswig, EA
Sandy is a Hilmar native and has over 40 years experience in the public accounting field. For the past 20 years she has worked for Daniel E. Fitzgerald in both the accounting and tax departments. She has supervised the payroll and accounting department and prepared all types of income tax returns in addition to financial statements. Sandy is an Enrolled Agent, enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service and also a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
Mark Fitzgerald
Mark is a Modesto native and has over 6 years experience in the public accounting field. He prepares all types of income tax returns, with a specialization in non-profit reporting. Mark also routinely prepares financial statements and assists with audits of non-profits and governmental agencies.
